St. Petersburg Nursing Home Abuse Vortex

Why is it that when we place a loved one in a nursing home or assisted living facility they seem to get lost in a vortex? Take a look around and you will see the answer. Are there enough staff members to meet your family member's needs? Do the people interacting with your loved one seem to be qualified to do so? Does there seem to be a revolving door of employees coming and going? When a bruise appears on your relative, or a bed sore develops, are you given a "plausible denial" explanation? Do they actually tell you that it's your loved one's fault? Is that person close to you being restrained in any way to a bed, a wheelchair? Or are they being medicated into oblivion?
If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions, then there is a path out of this vortex of nursing home negligence.
